In November the first SONTRAFIC-TLS.95. RG system was installed. RG, specifically in the municipality of Badalona Barcelona. The company ALUVISA has been in charge of installing the system. It is an intelligent pedestrian crossing made up of 6 RG SONT.713 model unilateral light beacons and two SONT.TLS.95.RG surface traffic lights. RG with two lines each.
This system has been implemented within a project to improve road safety in the municipality, with the aim of increasing safety in the movement of its inhabitants, reinforcing existing road markings, through active and dynamic light signalling.
The objective of the SONTRAFIC - TLS (Traffic Light Smombie) system is to provide dynamic information on the status of a pedestrian crossing.
The SONTRAFIC - TLS system reduces the danger of careless pedestrians that looking at their smartphones when crossing a crosswalk.
